Consultation and  Cake Tasting

If you are interested in a wedding cake from us, we advise you request a quote to start the process and to provide us with all the necessary details.  After that you can book an appointment with Rita to talk through your wedding plans, style and initial ideas to finalise your order.

The consultation includes a cake tasting for up to 3 people and you will be able to sample 4 delicious cake flavour combinations. There is an upfront fee of R250.00 for all cake consultations/tastings which is deducted from the cost of the cake if you place an order; on condition that your order is R1800 or more. More people or more cake will increase the tasting price with R50 per person and per flavour, but only R250 will be deducted from the quotation. Should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment we require at least 48 hours notice.

Delivery and Collection

The Cake Canvas provides a delivery and setup service at your venue, cost of this depends on the distance from and to the Moreletapark area in Pretoria East. We charge R4.00 per km. We also do not advice pick up of wedding cakes as we cannot then guarantee a smooth arrival of the cake to the venue.

Lead  Times

To avoid disappointment, we recommend that you book your cake 3-6 months in advance especially if you are having a Summer Wedding.  However, we are sometimes able to accommodate last-minute requests so please inquire to find out. We suggest that you book a consultation with us, but only if you already have decided on either your decor, invitations or any theme or colours you will have at the wedding; something we can work with.

Payment

We require 50% to secure your booking (Save The Date Deposit). The remaining balance is due two weeks before the event. You are welcome to make a R1500 deposit to secure your date before the wedding cake and order has been finalised.
